The Ivy League Tutors Foundation is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing premium tutoring and college consulting services to public school students. ILTF recognizes that many New York City students face serious obstacles to achievement, and that these obstacles often have little to do with natural talent or ambition. The Foundation has teamed with Columbia University’s Double-Discovery Center, CBS, CSTV, and Comcast to provide under-resourced students with the best instruction available. It is our ongoing mission to develop new methods for overcoming the growing inequities in our nation’s educational system.

Over the past year, ILTF has expanded both our student base and the services we provide. ILTF ran fall and spring programs at the Double-Discover Center that served over one hundred students from the New York City school district. In Dallas, Texas, ILTF initiated a fall program at Southern Methodist University in partnership with CBS, CSTV, and the Education is Freedom organization. We also expanded our program in Newark, NJ, which drew students from eight local high schools including East Side, West Side, Shabazz, and Science High. In total, ILTF taught more than 350 students during the 2006-2007 academic year.

The resounding success of this year’s projects have led us to expand our services for next year. ILTF will offer SAT courses for multiple skill levels, as well as classes for several SAT II exams. The support of our donors has been paramount in allowing us to realize our mission, and we would like to thank you for your generosity in helping our organization sustain this new period of growth.
